On May 1st & 2nd, Franklin, and many other communities in the Nashville area, suffered a devastating flood.  On the morning of May 3rd the waters were high, but the rains had ceased and the sun was working its way through broken clouds.  I suppose you could say that the dove had returned with a freshly plucked olive leaf.

These images represent beauty and peace in the midst of tragedy and loss.  Please consider purchasing a print - when you do, you’ll be helping to restore homes, families and the rich history that is Hard Bargain Mount Hope neighborhood.  Proceeds from print sales will benefit Hard Bargain Mount Hope Redevelopment.  HBMHR is a grassroots, non-profit organization seeking to restore and redevelop Hard Bargain, a historic African American neighborhood which has fought for over 100 years to be preserved.

>>> Opening reception for this body of work will be on Sunday, May 16, 3pm - 6pm at Five Points Starbucks in Franklin <<<
